About the role
Based at our Perth Distribution Centre (PDC) in High Wycombe, reporting to the Perth Distribution Centre Superintendent, you will be responsible for the supervision of employees involved in receivals, picking, wrapping, loadout/unloading of goods, and the coordination of freight deliveries between DC and the various operational sites.
- Ensure full compliance to all DC safety requirements, promote, and provide a safe working environment for all personnel and visitors in line with MRL, procedures and work instructions.
- Report all hazards, incidents, daily inspections, actions, Safety observations in the MRL INX system.
- Managing and completing an annual cycle count process.
- Proactively engage and assist customers as identified / required, providing superior customer service and maintaining professional relationships with customers, key stakeholders & other team members.
- Ensure the receipt and dispatch of priority and shut down freight is timely, cost efficient and that end users are advised of updates upon request.
- Complete audits on manifests and trailers to ensure effective trailer utilisation and compliance to Co R and Dangerous goods legislation.
- Ensure all shipments comply with Chain of Responsibility (Co R) and other transport regulations in both WA and nationally.
- Accurately input, monitor and report on data collected in relation to trailer utilisation, Power Apps and Coupa system.
- Complete daily pre‑starts and walk‑around with freight coordinators to ensure freight movement is consistent and meets scheduled requirements.
- Manage and facilitate training requirements ensuring all staff have the required skills to complete their roles.
About you
- Certificate/Diploma in Warehousing (Desirable)
- Proven Experience as a Warehouse Supervisory or similar position
- WHS2 / Section‑26 Qualified
- Use of MS Office suite of software with a good understanding of Excel spreadsheets and analysis.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and transport booking software.
- Experience working with Co R and road legislation in relation to freight transport.
- Proven experience of Warehouse and logistics functions in a DC setting.
- Demonstrated experience leading a team of 10 or more direct reports.
