Job Title: Facade Structural Engineer
Location: Brierley Hill
Salary: £45-55k depending on experience, plus bonus, pension, and additional benefits
Your Role
In your role as a Structural Engineer, you will be essential in delivering detailed structural designs and calculations across a diverse spectrum of materials and building components.
Responsibilities
- Independently driving projects from conception to completion, ensuring they meet company targets and client expectations for practicality, cost-effectiveness, and buildability.
- Engaging with a network of professionals, including external installers, designers, engineers, and architects, to ensure designs are optimised and fit for purpose.
- Innovating and improving design processes to enhance efficiency and competitive edge in the market while maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations.
Qualifications
- A solid understanding of basic structural behaviour with excellent engineering judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise effectively, and deliver on commitments under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the confidence to represent the company\’s interests in diverse settings.
- Experience with structural design in various materials such as steel, aluminium, glass, timber, and masonry.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software like SCIA Engineer, Tekla Structural Designer, IDEA Statica, along with MS Office. A basic knowledge of programming languages is a plus.
- Commercial experience and a drive towards professional accreditation such as Chartership.
