Overview: Software Engineer III - In office training during orientation (1st Week Possibly more). Remote but prefers the candidate to be close to Salisbury or Carlisle office. May report to the office if there is a specific training that needs to be done.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for designing, developing, modifying, and evaluating programs for internal functional areas including finance, human resources, and marketing.
- Analyses existing programs or formulates logic for new systems, devises logic procedures, prepares flowcharting, performs coding, and tests/debugs programs.
- Develops conversion and system implementation plans.
- Prepares and obtains approval of system and programming documentation.
- Recommends changes in development, maintenance, and system standards.
- Trains users in conversion and implementation of system.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical or analytical role.
- Proven ability to independently manage small to medium-sized projects.
- Experience supporting mission-critical enterprise systems.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; able to evaluate complex technical issues.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with Agile methodology and product/platform-based models.
Technical Capabilities:
- Programming & Systems: Mainframe, TSO, COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, Endevor, MVS.
- Methodologies: Agile, JIRA, SDLC.
- Tools & Platforms: WebSphere MQ, System Monitoring Tools, MS Office.
- Core Skills: Application Systems, Management, Innovation, Clear Communication, Technical Support/On Call – Service Now.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical or analytical role.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a Programming or technical role.
- Experience in the retail or grocery sector.
