Role Summary and Impact
We are seeking a Community Strategist within the Global Invention team at Mindshare. This role will play a key role in supporting the delivery of the community, social and creator work from Mindshare, focusing on Unilever Food brands.
As a Community Strategist, this role will focus on understanding the human element to media, to truly understand the voices and leaders within our audiences and how they exist within social and beyond. As part of this, you will be responsible for supporting our audience work, deep diving into the communities that make up the target audience of key brands, uncovering social rich insights by exploring the conversations they are having on social, as well as the behaviours and drivers that we can leverage to turn social scrollers into Unilever customers. An understanding of or interest in audience data and tools is ideal but not essential.
Within community strategy, you will also be responsible for supporting the influencer marketing workstreams. You will act as an influencer specialist to inform best-practice, provide some operational and activation support and in collaboration with the creative team, propose creative ideas for activating creators as part of media campaigns across Unilever’s food brands.

You are ready to produce creative strategies that reach deep into the hearts of communities and bring global brands to life across social and beyond. With a proven history in developing and executing strategy across creators, communities and audiences on social, you’re ready to take on a pivotal role within the Unilever strategy team, championing new ways of thinking about audiences as well as identifying influencer opportunities within a global and multi-market environment.
You live and breathe social, are passionate about what’s happening in culture and are immersed in the world of trends, understanding how to turn socially rich insights into community-first strategy and creative, creating campaigns that show we understand the audience and the world and culture that they play in. You demonstrate excellent attention to detail and accuracy in output and meeting deadlines, as well as strong organization to meet client expectations, manage multiple projects across brands with different stakeholders and timelines.

Essential Criteria
- A strategic thinker who understands what makes audiences tick, deeply immersed in social and cultural trends, with a strong instinct for what drives these behaviours and how we can tap into the conversations of communities
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and insights to inform strategy and storytelling
- A creative storyteller with experience developing compelling strategies and excellent presentation skills – confident working closely with internal teams to sell in big ideas and community-first thinking
- Understanding of the media landscape and possible media partners who speak to communities
- Understanding of influencer marketing, covering strategy, creative and industry best practice
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same
- Proven experience in an influencer agency or social based role
