- Data Management responsibility: the role is to sit in-between the local agencies (which are the source of data inputs) and the Technology team at Mindshare, to quality control all data. The role's scope is to work with the local agencies to correct any issues at the source. This spans 2 key data sources [media investment and media budget recommendation]. The responsibility includes (but is not limited to) the following:
- Validating the local country media plans and ensuring they have been correctly formulated (timing, product, brands, campaign, media channel, advertising format etc)
- Validating each budget file is in the correct template, with the mandatory fields populated
- Ensuring that the budget file inputs and budget setting levels are aligned with the media investment data
- Cross-checking investment against previous months by Country, Category, and Local Brand in a validation logbook
- Distributing monthly Validation/Acceptance reports to all Mindshare country teams to have data corrected at the source
- Ensuring Local Mindshare teams work with local Unilever marketing teams to confirm correct campaign names are being used in MAP (Mindshare's global media reporting system). DQ team will add new campaigns to systems where necessary.
- Educating the local Mindshare countries with the benefits of the system and responsibilities - aka 'single source of truth'
- Managing monthly production of KPI reports - excel based
- Understanding the data inputs, how they are defined, how it fits with the various reports and the purpose and objective of the report for end users
- Adhoc client/market/team requests to source information and address local/global client data sourcing and reporting requirements – this might include but not be limited to competitive advertiser analysis reports, case studies and media plan information requests
- Become familiar with multiple Mindshare-managed Data sets/media planning tools etc in order to support the above requests
- Collect and collate best practices and case studies from our local teams and share these across our network
