Role Summary and Impact
This is a pivotal role working in a central partnership and JBP development team, working directly with Partnership clients in London.
This role is responsible for helping to broker partnerships with key platforms (google, meta, tiktok , TheTradeDesk ) for Unilever and unlock strategic value, while distributing current commercial added value . Additionally, the role explores and evaluates new potential partnership opportunities and brings those to client with recommendation.
As there is more than €1.5bn going through our key partnerships – there is significant value (both commercial and strategic) that needs to be managed, allocated and distributed centrally.
We are also expected to have weekly face to face meetings with key senior partnership clients to update on latest status, value and opportunities.
Role Responsibilities
- Develop an intimate knowledge of Unilever’s JBPs (Joint Business Plans) and SBPs (Strategic Business Plans) – and understand how this can be applied and drawn down on centrally and in market
- Build relationships with key investment stakeholders locally, to partner on value attribution and utilisation
- Build and manage a partnership opportunity process- helping to identify new possible strategic partnerships across the digital ecosystem that can bring additional value to our clients
- Develop a growth plan for our Amazon JBP that goes beyond commerce and into brand value unlocks
- Attend weekly F2F meetings with key updates, challenges, barriers and opportunities
- Work with the wider client team to understand how JBP and SBP agreements can be exploited to unlock new opportunities and incremental value across all client operations
- Form strong relationship with WPP Media Partnerships stakeholders – understanding where we can augment client JBPs with WPP agreements and leverage

- Experience in the development and management of client-partner JBPs
- Proven ability to work directly with platforms and partners to develop new potential opportunities to strengthen the partnership
- Clear views on the necessity of global JBPs and their implications
- Previous experience of managing global value pots, their tracking and distribution
- Experience of case study development and collation
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, being able to confidently and clearly present work to clients, media owners and internal stakeholders and a face-to-face capacity
- High level numeracy and analysis skills, to be able to interrogate data and coming out with actionable insights to inform business decisions.
- Ability to thrive and work independently in an incredibly fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Excellent troubleshooting skills: ability to quickly and creatively solve issues (both technical and operational)
- Ability to communicate process driven approaches clearly and effectively to non-technical individuals
- A proactive, “can do” attitude. Self-starter and motivator with the ability to work in an autonomous fast paced environment doing what is necessary to deliver with speed, agility and forward-thinking.
