Job type: Fixed Term contract 6 months
Salary: £13.68 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.
Working hours: 37.00 hours per week – working 5 days in 7 across Monday - Sunday – with various shifts within 07:15-16:00* with a need to be flexible to work later duing busy periods.

Youll work on a rotating shift schedule, including some weekends. On Sunday working hours will be 09:00 until 16:30 - extending to 20:00 during peak times.

This role is physically demanding and fast-paced:
Walking long distances (up to 12 miles / 20,000+ steps)
Driving a Royal Mail van daily
Working in all weather conditions
Delivering letters and high volumes of parcels
Busy, time-pressured days, especially during peak periods
About you
Well provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. Youll need:
A full manual UK driving licence xohmjla (maximum 6 penalty points, registered to your current name and address)
Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and able to pass a driving assessment
Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags
Reliable and self-motivated
Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment
Customer-focused, with pride in delivering great service
Comfortable working outdoors and independently
