TYRE EXPERT

<p><b>Nissan Formula E Team has been a competitive force in motorsport and the FIA Formula E World Championship for many years. </b></p> <p><b>Based in Viry-Châtillon, in the Paris area (France), we are looking for a Tyre Expert to join our team and contribute to our ongoing development.</b></p> <p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p> <ul><li><b>Physical data gathering:</b> Define and execute tire testing plans, including attending tire dyno , trailer sessions and track test.</li> <li><b>Tire Modeling:</b> From multiple data set, perform tire modeling, focusing on mechanical and thermal performance.</li> <li><b>Simulation:</b> Work with vehicle dynamics and simulation engineers closely to integrate tire performance insights and assist for proper correlation of the provided models.</li> <li><b>Track Characterization:</b> Conduct track surface measurements and provide associated tire setup and performance strategies.</li> <li><b>Setup Recommendations:</b> Provide car setup recommendations for test sessions, including camber, pressure, and toe specifications.</li> <li><b>Track Test Support:</b> Manage tire sets, monitor wear patterns, and adjust tire pressure and temperature for optimal performance during development session.</li> <li><b>Performance Analysis:</b> Analyze test data to identify improvement areas and ensure tire performance.</li> </ul><p><b>Qualifications and Experience:</b></p> <ul><li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.</li> <li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in tire development, modeling and testing.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of tire dynamics, including mechanical and thermal behavior.</li> <li>Hands-on experience with vehicle and tire testing, and data acquisition tools.</li> <li>Proficiency in simulation tools (Matlab/Simulink and other simulation software.)</li> <li>Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.</li> <li>Strong communication skills for presenting technical findings.</li> <li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively.</li> <li>Passionate about tire performance and vehicle dynamics.</li> <li>Professional proficiency in English.</li> </ul><p><b>Preferred Skills:</b></p> <ul><li>Experience in motorsport or high-performance automotive engineering.</li> <li>Familiarity with tire modeling tools and simulation software.</li> <li>Expertise in track surface analysis and its impact on tire behavior.</li> </ul><p>At Nissan, we believe that the differences among us – differences in race, gender, age, mindset, religion, people with disabilities and much more – make us stronger and equip us to better serve our customers and communities.
