Female Support Worker – Full Time (39 Hours)

Location: Hildenborough

Hours: Full time 39 hours per week on a rota basis - we ask for flexibility Monday to Sunday across all shifts

Salary: Β£25,845 per annum (pro rata) + Β£1,200 complexity payment per annum (pro rata)

Full UK driving licence is required for this role to be willing to drive the manual service vehicle.

About the Role

Were looking for an experienced Female Support Worker to join our specialist Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) service in Hildenborough, supporting five men with learning disabilities, autism, communication needs and behaviours of concern.

This is a rewarding but highly specialist role, where your experience, approach and values will have a direct impact on the lives of the people we support. For this tole it is required to have some mode of transport E.G Driving licence with access to a vehicle or motorbike as this service is located in a very rural location.

Previous experience supporting people with learning disabilities, autism and behaviours of concern within a PBS environment is essential. A full UK driving licence is also required for this role to drive the manual service vehicle.

Youll understand that behaviour is a form of communication and will be confident in using proactive, person-centred approaches that promote dignity, independence and positive outcomes. Youll know how important consistency is and recognise that the relationships you build can significantly improve a persons confidence, wellbeing and overall quality of life.

What Youll Be Doing

No two days are the same, but youll be:

  • Supporting people to live independently while promoting choice, dignity and respect.

Providing person-centred support tailored to individual needs and aspirations. Supporting people with daily living tasks, including cooking, shopping, managing finances and maintaining their home. Providing personal care where required. Using Positive Behaviour Support approaches to understand and respond to behaviours of concern. Encouraging community participation, hobbies, interests and meaningful relationships. Working collaboratively with colleagues, families and professionals to achieve the best outcomes. Helping people achieve personal goals and live the life they choose.

What Were Looking For

Were looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in supporting people with learning disabilities, autism and behaviours of concern.

Knowledgeable and confident in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approaches. Calm, patient and emotionally resilient. Able to build positive, trusting relationships. Committed to delivering outstanding, person-centred support. Passionate about improving the quality of life of the people they support. A team player with excellent communication skills.
