Job Description
The Lola Yamaha ABT Formula E Team competes in the FIA Formula E World Championship, uniting Lola Cars legendary motorsport heritage, Yamaha’s cutting-edge technology, and the racing expertise of ABT Sportsline.
We are looking for a Strategy Engineer to join our performance team and help drive our competitive edge through simulation, real-time analysis, and strategic decision-making. This role is critical in preparing, executing, and reviewing race strategies across the championship season.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare race strategies through simulations, analysis, and reporting.

Deliver live support during races, including plan updates, competitor tracking, and decision-making.

Conduct post-event data analysis and prepare review documentation.

Develop and maintain internal analysis and decision-support tools.

Own and improve in-event race strategy tools.
Candidate Profile
Must-Have:

Proficiency in Python.
-
Comfortable with version control (preferably Git).
-
High competence in Microsoft Excel.

Experience with car data analysis (MAT ATLAS preferred).

Familiarity with FIA Sporting Regulations.
-
Calm, analytical mindset with fast decision-making in high-pressure environments.

Minimum 1 year of experience in high-level motorsport, ideally in a strategy role.
Nice to Have:

Experience with data science libraries: Pandas, SciPy, Scikit-learn, Matplotlib.

Knowledge of Formula E energy management systems.

Experience with One Timing.

Basic IT networking understanding.
