Gatekeeper & Administrator Gatekeeper & Administrator The location of the role is Shoeburyness (fully onsite).

The duration of the contract is 6 months.

The pay rate on offer is £13 - £15 per hour (PAYE).

The role is 37 hours per week.

Key accountabilities of the role Control access to a highly secure Potential Explosives Site (PES), ensuring only authorised personnel and contractors are permitted entry.

Check contractors entering site, ensuring prohibited items (such as mobile phones, food, tools and other restricted items) are declared and managed in line with site procedures.

Maintain accurate records of personnel entering and leaving the site, ensuring full accountability and compliance with security requirements.

Monitor and manage the sites swipe card access system, preventing unauthorised access and following security protocols.

Carry out general administrative duties, including maintaining work orders, equipment records and operational databases.

Process emails and update Excel trackers with site information, incidents and operational records.

Support with raising purchase orders and basic SAP administration where appropriate.

Key skills and experience Previous experience in a gatehouse, security, reception, facilities or administrative role is beneficial.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow strict security procedures.

Comfortable dealing with contractors and visitors in a professional manner.

Basic IT skills, including data entry on Microsoft Excel and email.

Experience using SAP at a basic level would be advantageous but is not essential as training can be provided.

Reliable, organised and able to work independently.
