Join Voyage Care and be part of an organisation where leadership genuinely changes lives. We are recruiting a Service Manager for a small, well‐established residential service in the Bracknell area, supporting adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, brain injuries, and complex needs. This is a settled and stable service with an experienced staff team already in place, offering an excellent platform for a confident manager to build, grow, and lead with purpose.
This role presents a fantastic opportunity for someone who already has management experience in adult social care and is now ready to take the next step—leading a smaller service where you can truly see the impact of your leadership day to day.
About the service: The service is a residential home supporting four individuals, providing personalised, person‐centred care in a calm, homely environment. Relationships, consistency, and quality of life sit at the heart of everything we do here. It’s a service where people are supported to live meaningful, fulfilling lives, and where strong leadership plays a vital role in maintaining stability and high standards.
About the role: As Service Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of the service while being fully supported by an experienced operational leadership structure. You’ll be responsible for the day‐to‐day management of the home, ensuring safe, high‐quality, compliant care while developing a positive, values‐driven culture for both colleagues and the people we support.
This is a hands‐on leadership role, ideal for someone who enjoys being visible, leading from the front, and supporting teams to be the very best they can be. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and developing a stable staff team
- Driving quality and ensuring regulatory compliance
- Embedding person‐centred practice and consistent standards
- Building strong relationships with families and professionals
- Managing performance, supervisions, and appraisals
- Ensuring safe systems around medication, risk, and safeguarding
Who this role is for: This opportunity is well suited to an experienced Service Manager or Deputy Manager who is confident in their leadership ability and ready to step into a role with increased autonomy and responsibility. While the service is small, the role is significant and requires someone with the knowledge and confidence to manage effectively.
You’ll need:
- Previous management experience in adult social care
- Experience supporting people with learning disabilities and complex needs
- A strong understanding of CQC requirements and quality frameworks
- A values‐led approach, with the ability to inspire and support your team
Why Voyage Care? At Voyage Care, our values sit at the centre of everything we do. We want our leaders to feel supported, valued, and empowered to succeed. In return for your dedication, you’ll benefit from:
- Wagestream – access your pay as you earn it
- Funded Blue Light Card with nationwide discounts
- 24/7 GP access for you and your family
- Health cash plans
- Enhanced retirement leave and long‐service awards
- Outstanding training and development opportunities
We believe in helping our colleagues grow, progress, and be themselves while making a genuine difference.
