Job Description
The Lola Yamaha ABT Formula E Team competes in the FIA Formula E World Championship, uniting Lola Cars legendary motorsport heritage, Yamaha’s cutting-edge technology, and the racing expertise of ABT Sportsline.
We are currently looking for a Race Engineer to lead the technical and strategic direction of one of our cars. This is a key role for an experienced motorsport engineer who thrives on pressure, precision, and performance—ideally with a background in Formula E, WEC, LMDh, IndyCar or Formula 2.
Key Responsibilities

Act as the lead engineer responsible for all technical and strategic aspects of one car.

Define setup based on data analysis, simulation results, and input from the performance group.

Drive mid-event decision-making with targeted analysis of setup, driver feedback, and competitor data.

Lead the simulator/simulation correlation effort through detailed analysis and recommendations.

Manage communication and coordination across the car crew, including mechanics and dedicated performance/system engineers.

Take shared responsibility for car legality with the team’s Technical Coordinator.

Plan, organize, and execute simulator and on-track test events.
Candidate Profile
Required:

At least 3 years of experience as a Race Engineer in top-level motorsport.

In-depth understanding of vehicle dynamics and high-performance engineering.

Exceptional communication and leadership skills under high-pressure environments.

Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail.

Proficient in motorsport data tools (preferably ATLAS).

Familiarity with simulation platforms such as Canopy.
Nice to Have:

Programming skills (Python, MATLAB, VBA) for tool development and performance analysis.
