Here at XPO, were looking to bring in a Fleet Support Specialist at our site in Gotham, covering our British Gypsum contract on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Fleet Support Specalist is responsible for ensuring the legal compliance, operational efficiency, and cost control of a large commercial vehicle and trailer fleet.

Working within a small maintenance control centre, you will play a key role in maintaining high standards of fleet safety, reliability, and regulatory adherence.

Working as part of our transport team, this position will play a key part in keeping our trucks moving and ensuring were up to date with all fleet related administration across the contract.

You will operate Monday to Friday across core working hours.

What youll do on a typical day: You will effectively and efficiently provide administration support to the transport teams across the UK, updating our fleet management system with the supplied information in a timely and accurate fashion Review VOR lists every AM and PM, challenge any vehicle in VMU for more than 2 days, in the absence of the Fleet Manager.

Ensure repairs are made as quickly as possible and provide regular updates.

Arrange alternative repair agents when required to minimize down time.

Daily yard walk to identify visual standard of fleet and any new damage, including visit to VMU to discuss daily programme with UK Trucks (in the fleet managers absence) Assist fleet manager in proactively chasing suppliers of VOR equipment, especially tail lift and fridges, record conversations and advise Transport management of long-term issues Update our records regarding vehicles registered on our o-licences and insurance policies Ensure all our vehicles are taxed and road-related charges and accounts are paid What you need to succeed at XPO: Attention to detail is critical, youll need to be organised and methodical Strong administration skills are highly desirable, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, Past experience in transport would be highly beneficial Be part of something big.
