The predicted salary is between 25000 - 42000 £ per year.
The individual will work as a mechanic in the shop and at the race track. The mechanic will assemble and disassemble the race cars and work to prepare them for the race weekend. The mechanic must be versatile to work on all aspects of a race car with focus on front, rear and/or mid sections. At the race track the mechanic will prepare the car for the track by making necessary changes when instructed. As a mechanic the individual will ensure that all components of the car are secured.
Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and inspection of suspension components.
- Cleaning and inspection of engine ancillary components.
- Disassembly of race cars (suspension, engine and interior components) as required.
- Installation of suspension components; front and rear.
- Trim and installation of various components.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications:
- Certificate/Diploma from an Automotive Trade School or equivalent work experience is preferred.
- Previous experience as a mechanic from an automotive dealership or similar experience is preferred.
- Previous experience on a race team is preferred.
- Ability to use hand tools is required.
- Ability to lift more than 20lbs.
- Ability to bend, kneel, sit or stand for extended periods of time.
This position is subject to periodic drug screenings during employment per sanctioning body guidelines.
