Support the Maintenance Manager in maintaining the hotels high standards, ensuring guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house spaces, and facilities are safe, functional, and well-presented at all times.
Carry out routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and minor improvement works across the hotel to help deliver an excellent guest experience.
Assist with the preventative maintenance programme, helping to identify and resolve issues before they become larger problems.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and colleagues, working efficiently to minimise disruption to hotel operations.
Conduct regular checks and inspections of hotel equipment, plant areas, bedrooms, and public spaces, reporting any concerns to the Maintenance Manager.
Support contractors and external service providers when on site, ensuring work is carried out safely and in line with hotel procedures.
Help maintain accurate maintenance records, completing job logs and reporting completed works as required.
Ensure all tools, equipment, and work areas are kept clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety requirements.
Assist with room refurbishments, decorating projects, furniture repairs, and general upkeep of the property.
Previous experience in a maintenance, handyman, facilities, or engineering role is desirable, although training can be provided for the right candidate.
Good practical knowledge of general building maintenance, including basic plumbing, electrical, decorating, and repair work.
Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards throughout the hotel.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills and develop within the maintenance function.
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including occasional evenings, weekends, and emergency call-outs when required.
