We are seeking a Consultant in Gastroenterology to join a busy and well-structured acute hospital service in Kerry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Consultant-level care in Gastroenterology, including outpatient and inpatient services
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures
  • Contribute to the acute medical take and management of complex medical patients
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams across medical specialties
  • Support teaching and supervision of NCHDs
  • Participate in audit, quality improvement, and service development initiatives

Requirements

  • Formal training in Gastroenterology
  • Specialist registration (or eligibility) with the Irish Medical Council (IMC)
  • Experience at Consultant level or equivalent
  • Strong endoscopy experience and procedural competency
  • Excellent communication and team-working skills
