Are you passionate about making buildings safer and more resilient? 4site Consulting is looking for a Fire Engineer to join our team, specialising in retrospective fire strategies for existing and complex structures and bespoke fire engineering advice. This is a hands-on role where your expertise will directly influence safety outcomes across a range of projects.
What you'll be doing:
- Develop and implement fire safety strategies.
- Identify risks and provide practical, compliant solutions for a range of building types, including heritage and high-rise structures.
- Advise clients on complex fire safety challenges.
- Conduct inspections and produce actionable reports.
- Stay up to date with legislation and standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and work with the Lead Fire Safety Consultant.
- Research innovative technologies to improve fire engineering practices.
- Engage with clients to align safety objectives with operational goals.
- Represent 4site at industry events.
- Continuous professional development is encouraged.
About you:
- Level 5 or Degree in Fire Engineering.
- A minimum IFE membership level of AIFireE or similar membership.
- A minimum EngTech status with the Engineering Council.
- An in-depth working knowledge of fire engineering.
- At least 5 years' experience in a similar field.
- Ability to manage your workload effectively and work to deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a can-do attitude.
- Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
- Confident and experienced dealing with clients and cross departmentally.
- Full UK driving license with no more than 6 points.
- Willingness to travel UK wide when required.
- Experience with private residential buildings is preferred.
