Location: Notting Hill, West London<br><br>For a complete understanding of this opportunity, and what will be required to be a successful applicant, read on.<br>* Salary: £50,000-£60,000+ gross per annum<br>* Contract Type: Live-in | Full-time | Long-term role<br>The Oplu team is recruiting a warm, experienced, and emotionally intelligent Live-in Nanny/Housekeeper to support a young, professional family based in Notting Hill, London. This is a long-term role for someone who genuinely loves children, thrives in busy households, and brings a proactive, nurturing approach to both childcare and home management.<br>You’ll be caring primarily for two young children – a toddler currently in nursery and a baby who will start nursery later in 2025/26. The role is a mix of childcare and hands-on housekeeping during quieter periods, supported by additional staff (a housekeeper and part-time cleaner).<br>Ideal Candidate<br>* 8+ years experience in similar roles within private households<br>* Fluent English, with additional languages a plus<br>* Kind, confident, and emotionally tuned in – especially with young children<br>* Proactive, resourceful, and highly organised<br>* Flexible to start early mornings, work longer hours when needed, and travel<br>* Strong team player who understands the rhythm of a staffed household<br>* Discreet, professional, and family-oriented<br>Key Responsibilities<br>* Full nursery duties and daily care for both children<br>* Creating a warm, safe, and engaging environment, with a focus on emotional development and wellbeing<br>* Morning and evening routines, including nursery drop-off/pick-up<br>* Cooking simple, healthy meals for the children and family if required<br>* Laundry and ironing for the children, and light housekeeping when the children are at nursery<br>* Liaising with other household staff and stepping in to cover occasional weekends or evenings if needed<br>* Travelling with the family and offering flexibility during busy travel periods<br>* Occasional proxy parenting<br>Role Details<br>* Live-in, Monday to Friday, approximately 07:30–19:30<br>* Overtime, including weekends, evenings and travel, paid separately<br>* Private accommodation provided: own bedroom and bathroom (with potential for separate studio space – TBD)<br>* 28 days’ paid holiday (inclusive of bank holidays)<br>* Salary: £50,000-£60,000+ gross per annum, depending on experience and qualifications<br>Please note: Due to the high volume of applications we receive, we regret that we are only able to contact candidates who are successfully shortlisted.
