Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability.

The cardiology department in our Leeds Hospital currently have an opportunity for a Cardiac Physiologist / Cardiac Scientist with invasive experience to join us on a bank contract. Continue your journey with us whilst we'll support you to be your best.

As a Cardiac Physiologist at our Leeds Hospital, you'll hold a BTEC ONC and HNC Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement and / or BSc Healthcare Science (Cardiology) / BSc Clinical Physiology (Cardiac Physiology) or equivalent. You're currently registered with the RCCP or AHCS as a Cardiac Physiologist or Clinical Scientist. Ideally, you're also accredited with SCST and BSE. You're an excellent communicator, flexible, motivated and a team player.

As a Cardiac Physiologist, you will:

  • Work in the cardiac catheter lab, supporting a range of interventional procedures including but not limited to:
    • diagnostic angiography including left and right heart studies
    • PCI including pressure wire analysis
    • PFO closures
  • Support with other non-invasive cardiac diagnostics including ambulatory ECG analysis, exercise tolerance testing and 12 lead ECGs
