<p>Position Overview: The Human Resources Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization’s HR and administrative teams. This individual will greet, assist and provide direction and information to clients, visitors and other guests of GM Performance Power Units.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:<br> • Greeting and directing visitors; handling calls and scheduling.<br> • Managing mail, packages, and deliveries.<br> • Performing general clerical tasks and maintaining organized filing systems.<br> • Supporting Human Resources with recordkeeping, audits, and maintaining confidentiality.<br> • Responding to employee and applicant inquiries; escalating complex matters as needed.<br> • Assisting with payroll, benefits coordination, and DOT compliance.<br> • Supporting onboarding and company events.<br> • Entering accounting data, coordinating credit card processes, and light billing.<br> • Contributing to projects and generating reports across HR, accounting, and recruitment.<br> • Reviewing and correcting data; maintaining accurate records.<br> • Performing other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Required Skills and Abilities<br> • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.<br> • Excellent math skills.<br> • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.<br> • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.<br> • High level of deductive reasoning to progress from general ideas to specific conclusions.<br> • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn accounting, payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.<br> • Basic understanding of administrative and clerical procedures and systems.</p> <p>Education and Experience<br> • High school diploma or equivalent required.<br> • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.<br> • Prior related office experience preferred.<br> • High skill level with Microsoft Word, Excel and other applications within the Office Suite or related software.</p> <p>Physical Requirements<br> • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.<br> • Prolonged periods of standing or walking.<br> • Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.<br> • Position needs to occasionally move to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.<br> • Regularly access low and high spaces that may be at irregular angles such as in or under a vehicle.</p> <p>Reasonable Accommodations Statement:<br> To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
