Working in partnership with the NHS, Blatchford provides the Prosthetic service in Brighton. We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Prosthetist at our Brighton centre. This is a highly varied role where you will treat a wide range of patients and work in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary clinical team.

The role: As a Graduate Prosthetist you will use your clinical skill and experience to contribute to the delivery of a first-class Prosthetic Clinical Service. We are seeking a Graduate Prosthetist with broad-based experience who is looking for an opportunity to develop and contribute.

  • Assessing, measuring, casting, fitting, delivering, reviewing, and adjusting prosthesis as required across a range of amputation levels.
  • Managing patient expectations, ensuring needs are respected and that the patient is kept fully informed.
  • Maintaining appropriate clinical notes and records.
  • Maintaining an up to date Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Portfolio.
  • Participating in postgraduate training courses arranged by the company or local centre.
  • Attending meetings and conferences.

What are we looking for?

  • Degree qualified in Prosthetics and Orthotics.
  • HCPC registration.
  • BAPO or ISPO (desirable).
  • Experience in lower limb prosthetics.
  • Experience in delivering a range of prosthetic clinics.
  • Experience or have a desire to be involved in audit or service evaluation.
  • Be able to manage difficult, challenging, and sensitive situations.
  • Good judgment and decision-making skills.
