A well-established, family-owned freight forwarding company based in Eastleigh, Southampton, is looking for a dynamic and quick-thinking individual to join their friendly team.

This role is ideally suited to someone with extensive customs clearance experience who is looking for a long-term opportunity within a stable business.

The Role You will be responsible for managing freight forwarding operations with a strong focus on customs clearance, ensuring shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and in full compliance with customs regulations.

Key Responsibilities Complete import customs entries accurately and efficiently.

Handle customs clearance documentation and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.

Coordinate import and export shipments.

Liaise with customers, hauliers, shipping lines, and customs authorities.

Manage FCL and LCL shipments where applicable.

Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and within required timescales.

What Were Looking For Essential Extensive customs clearance experience within a freight forwarding environment.

Proven experience completing import customs entries.

Experience using customs software (ASM experience is preferred, although experience with other customs systems is welcome).

Good working knowledge of CNS Destin8.

Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Desirable Sea import freight forwarding experience.

Export customs clearance experience.

Knowledge of T1 Transit procedures.

Experience handling both FCL and LCL shipments.

What We Offer Competitive salary of £29,000-£35,000, depending on experience.

Monday to Friday working hours - 9:00am to 5:30pm.
