The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 £ per year.
Reporting to the Finance Operations Manager, the Finance Operations Administrator will be the processing and administrative support to the finance function of the bank, with involvement in various monthly accounting processes including the daily processing of payments and reconciliation of the company’s bank accounts, posting of complex general journals and assisting with the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts in the trial balance enabling a swift and efficient month end close process and monitoring operational controls. You will be an integral part of the Finance Operations team ensuring compliance with Financial Services regulatory requirements. A can-do attitude with a keen eye for detail and a continuous improvement mindset is a must, Chetwood has a multi-product balance sheet, every day is varied and all suggestions are welcomed. We’re looking for someone who can identify inefficiencies, challenge the way we do things and assist the team to design improved processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring high volume bank reconciliations are performed within regulated and agreed SLA’s, and that accurate record keeping is in place.
- Assisting in maintaining up to date and accurate cash management processes to ensure adequate business account funding.
- Banking of customer cheques and liaising with appropriate teams for swift allocation of receipts.
- Managing and ensuring swift resolution of any unreconciled transactions, including the monitoring of suspense accounts.
- Processing of daily contractual payments and operational customer returns.
- Reconciliation and substantiation of various balance sheet accounts, working to ensure external support of balances wherever possible.
- Assisting the team with external and internal audit requests, ensuring deliverables are provided in a timely fashion.
- Understanding the roles of colleagues in all areas of Financial Operations, recognising the end-to-end processing of transactions to be able to work flexibly and deal with, or refer queries in a timely manner.
