We are recruiting for an Estates Officer to join a busy housing team based in Newark-on-Trent, helping maintain safe, clean and well-managed neighbourhoods while providing a visible presence within local communities.

Responsibilities of the Estates Officer:

  • Carry out regular estate and neighbourhood inspections
  • Act as the eyes and ears on the ground, identifying and reporting issues
  • Engage with residents and promote positive estate standards
  • Support tenancy compliance through advice, guidance and community engagement
  • Complete minor DIY and practical maintenance tasks
  • Litter pick and report fly-tipping or environmental concerns
  • Check communal buildings and vacant properties
  • Report repairs, anti-social behaviour and other neighbourhood issues
  • Maintain accurate records and escalate concerns to the relevant teams

What we are looking for:

  • Customer-facing or public service experience
  • Background in housing, estates, caretaking, facilities, community safety or similar roles desirable
  • Strong communication and community engagement skills
  • Basic DIY/practical maintenance ability
  • Comfortable working independently and outdoors
  • Full clean UK driving licence and confident driving a company van

  • £20.00 - £25.00 per hour (Umbrella, depending on experience)
