The Technician will perform test bench setup and calibration, testing and troubleshooting of medium to highly complex X-band modules, including band-pass filters, microwave amplifiers, high-power, microwave transistors, splitters & combiners and assembly of complete X-band transceivers.<br>The ideal candidate with the below qualifications would be full time, hands-on involved manufacturing and testing of this new division, with responsibilities that include:<br>* Testing<br>* Trouble Shooting<br>* Manufacturing<br>* Quality Control<br>Essential Skills:<br>* Testing of RF Electronics.<br>* Familiar with the Test Equipment such as Spectrum Analyzer, Network Analyzer, Oscilloscope, Power Meter, Function Generator, Noise Figure Meter, Audio Analyser.<br>* Integration of Digital and Microwave Electronics, Including Hand Soldering.<br>Optional Skills:<br>* Experience of the Practical Manufacture of Microwave and / or Digital Electronics including Assembly of PCB based Sub-Systems.<br>* Familiarity with relevant Quality Assurance Processes.<br>* Ideally 3-Phase Qualified.<br>Qualifications: *<br> Relevant Industrial Experience, preferably with a minimum of BTEC Level 4 Qualification.<br>* Relevant Experience in a similar Role in a Production Environment.<br>* UK Citizenship.<br>Personal Attributes<br>* Team Working, you will be part of a Small Highly Motivated Team such that the Ability to Work with others is Essential.<br>* Responsibility for Own Work.<br>* Technical Excellence.<br>* Creative Problem-Solving Ability.<br>The Technician will possess either knowledge of RF expertise or Digital Electronics or ideally both with measurements, and familiarity with using Network and Spectrum Analysers, Power Meters, Oscilloscopes, RF Sources and other equipment used in the testing of microwave components and modules.<br>The role is based at our Stoke on Trent facility travel in the UK and overseas may be required from time to time and some flexibility to be open to overtime at to help with busy periods would be a major plus which will also open significant increases to the Salary. The basic Salary for the Technician will be in the region of £55 to £60,000 + bonus and of course overtime as mentioned.
