We are looking for an Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) Manager to join TKMS ATLAS UK, based at Dorset Innovation Park, Winfrith.
This role has been created to strengthen ILS capability across both current programmes and future bids, supporting the UK Ministry of Defence and major prime contractors.
As an ILS Manager , you will lead the delivery of Integrated Logistic Support across the full product lifecycle — from early bid phases through to in-service support.
You will play a key role in ensuring that systems are reliable, maintainable, and cost-effective to operate, while influencing design decisions to enhance long-term supportability.
You will work closely with engineering, systems, and project teams to define and deliver effective support solutions, ensuring all ILS elements are delivered to time, cost, and quality expectations.
Key responsibilities include: Leading ILS activities across bids and programmes, including proposal writing and cost estimation Analysing support requirements and defining appropriate ILS strategies and solutions Developing and managing ILS plans and associated elements, including: Supportability Analysis Availability, Reliability & Maintainability (AR&M) Supply Support Technical Documentation Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and training delivery Influencing product design to improve in-service supportability Managing ILS Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), schedules, and deliverables Ensuring all ILS outputs are delivered on time and within budget Engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including customers and project teams You will report to the ILS Team Leader and work as part of a collaborative, technically focused team operating within a dynamic defence environment.
The ideal candidate will have: A degree, HNC/HND in an engineering or science discipline, or equivalent experience Experience delivering ILS or supportability within defence or other regulated engineering sectors Strong understanding of supportability analysis, maintenance planning, and through-life support Experience working across the full product lifecycle, ideally including early-phase or bid work Knowledge of defence standards (e. g.
Def Stan 00-series) is desirable Familiarity with tools such as PTC Windchill, OPUS 10, or Logistic Information Repositories is advantageous Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders A proactive, analytical approach with strong organisational skills TKMS ATLAS UK provides advanced maritime and underwater systems for the Royal Navy and international customers.
