Cloud Infrastructure Engineer | Windows, AWS, Terraform | Media & TV Salary – £60,000 Holborn / TCR office 3 days a week My client is a world-leading independent production and distribution group that produces some of the most popular TV programmes in the world. They are looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer who will support circa 30 internal companies with approximately 1,500 users 100s of freelancers. You will operate in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. You will be working for a fun organisation, diversity-focused and dress-down culture based in the Holborn / Tottenham Court Road location. The role is on a hybrid model with non-negotiable in-office requirements, currently every Tuesday. You will work alongside 3 other senior engineers, and 2 project-based engineers reporting to the IT Manager. A bit of a unique opportunity here as you will be a ‘modern Windows engineer’ as our client is hosting 95% of their infrastructure in AWS. You will be involved in project work as well as dealing with 3rd line support tickets. There’s a separate 1st / 2nd line support team so you won’t have to tackle any of these tickets. You will be working with the infrastructure team that’s predominantly cloud-based. It’s a unique setup being a Windows/Microsoft environment inside the AWS ecosystem. Everything is glued together using Terraform so there’s great tooling at work here. Non-negotiable requirements – Must have 2/3: AWS – solid experience is an absolute must Okta & Okta Workflows Terraform Other key technologies you will be working on heavily: Windows Server (2016-22) admin skills. The server estate is hosted inside AWS in an IaaS setup Office 365 / SharePoint Scripting (Python used) Projects: Migrating the last on-prem servers into AWS/O365. These are mainly file servers that need to be migrated and architected into the AWS estate to remove the last remaining on-prem servers. Good O365 / SharePoint knowledge will be really helpful for this Experience with tools like AvePoint, ManageEngine etc will be helpful for the Windows = AWS/SharePoint migrations The eventual goal is to migrate all infrastructure into Lambada. Core duties: Going to be doing a lot of Windows VM building, EC2 or AWS and running through a problem with them. Working on our client’s 100 circa Windows VMs over 6 different accounts using AppStream and RDS for databases an EC2 environment of over 100 services S3 backups and storage FSX cloud storage OKTA is central to their hub so lots of Okta and Okta Workflows work including automation projects Windows server upgrades Easy onboarding for newly acquired businesses Security access process There’s no end of projects, and you will be working with a truly awesome team that you’ll enjoy going to work with each day!
