Team Manager – Childrens Social Care Who You Are You are a dedicated and experienced professional in childrens social care, with a minimum of three years post-qualification experience. You possess a Diploma in Social Work or equivalent and have a thorough knowledge of legislation, statutory regulations, and government guidance relevant to children in need. You are committed to bringing positive change and stability to the lives of children and families and are agile, flexible, and can respond to challenges and demands with pace and compassion. What the Job Involves As a Team Manager, you will manage the day-to-day operations of a team of social workers, promoting the best interests of children under your care. Your responsibilities will include ensuring services are delivered effectively and in line with government policies, legislation, and departmental procedures. You will provide leadership and support to your team, monitor case management, manage budgets, and ensure effective communication within the service. Additionally, you will work collaboratively with other services, external agencies, and the community to achieve the best outcomes for children. Skills Leadership and management experience in childrens social services Strong knowledge of child protection and safeguarding practices Experience in managing budgets and expenditure Collaboration with external agencies and community stakeholders Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to monitor and improve staff performance Proficiency in IT systems and data management (e.g., Mosaic)
