Our client, a reputable vehicle dealership based in Bolton, is seeking for a Car Mechanic to join their team. The ideal candidate will be able to diagnose faults and carry out repairs accurately and efficiently and be able working with both mechanical and electrical components. Role: Car Mechanic Salary: £35000 – £40000 per annum Hours: Monday to Friday; 40 hours per week plus every other Saturday Requirements: must have NVQ Level 3 qualification dealership experience preferable have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in vehicle maintenance and repair possess excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills have the ability to work independently and as part of a team Key Responsibilities: Vehicle Diagnostics: Conduct thorough diagnostics to identify issues with the vehicles engine, transmission, electrical systems, brakes, and other components using advanced tools and diagnostic equipment. Repair and Maintenance: Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on a wide range of vehicles, including oil changes, brake repairs, tire rotations, and engine repairs. Parts Replacement: Replace faulty or worn parts, ensuring all components meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards. System Inspections: Inspect and test vehicle systems such as the engine, transmission, suspension, and exhaust to ensure proper functionality and compliance with regulations. Customer Communication: Provide clear and detailed explanations of issues, repairs needed, and costs to customers in a professional manner. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time spent on repairs for customer billing and internal tracking.
