Background – This is a superb opportunity for a passionate and experienced Veterinary Surgeon, with a strong background in consults and surgery, to join a very highly regarded Independent veterinary practice. Here you will benefit from working alongside a dedicated team of 7 experienced Vet Surgeons. You will also be supported by 7 RVNs as well as 2 Student Nurses and 2 Veterinary Care Assistants. You will work within a spacious practice with plenty of consult rooms and theatres, all modern equipment and work to slightly longer appointment times of 20 minutes as standard.

Work life balance and staff happiness is an extremely important factor as well so as a result you will benefit from no OOH or nights and only 1 in 4 weekends required (just Saturday mornings). The practice prides itself on providing the best quality care to patients and allows longer consult times in order for Vets to spend time with the animals and to put them at ease before consulting. As much as possible is dealt with in house, where possible, limiting referrals. Career development and progression is very much encouraged as the practice is happy to support you with CPD, certificates and further training. If you have an interest/certificate in exotics then this would be desirable but not essential due to the high caseload of exotics. This is an outstanding opportunity for a Vet Surgeon looking for a varied and engaging caseload to work alongside other experienced Veterinary Surgeons and to put the emphasis on patient care.

Location – Bromley

The Practice – Independently owned and run as a well-established practice for the local community. A passionate approach to veterinary care where welfare comes first and the animal is always prioritised. Continual investment into the practice, including in technology such as full dental suite and dental x-ray, scanners, ultrasound, IDEXX in-house lab suite, orthopaedics equipment, plus much more. Excellent staff-retention with members of the team being there for years. A sociable group with regular team events where hard work and effort is recognised and appreciated. Extremely supportive of career progression/development for Vet Surgeons.

Your Role – A qualified Veterinary Surgeon with a valid license to practice in the UK. Preference for full time (4 days per week) but open to considering part-time hours as well. 20 minute consultations as standard. No nights or OOH. 1 in 4 Saturday mornings – finished by 12:30. Focus on delivering the highest quality care to all patients. A nice, varied caseload with plenty of opportunity for surgery.
