About the Role
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Furniture & Appliance Delivery Operative to join a logistics and facilities support team providing services to military and government personnel. The role involves the safe and timely delivery, installation, and collection of household furniture and appliances for United States Air Force families and other customers across residential locations throughout the UK. You will be working within a large public service support organisation that delivers essential outsourced services on behalf of government and defence clients, helping to ensure high-quality, reliable support for personnel and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely deliver, install, collect, and handle furniture and appliances across UK residential locations
- Load, unload, and assemble new and reusable stock from various sources
- Support warehouse operations including storage, organisation, and maintaining cleanliness standards
- Ensure all furniture and appliances meet required quality and cleanliness standards before delivery
- Assist in maintaining lease vehicles, ensuring they are clean and meet company standards
- Support the scheduling of delivery and collection workloads alongside the supervisor
- Assist in general warehouse upkeep and any other operational duties as required
- Work flexibly across different areas of the contract, with training provided
About You
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Basic DBS check required upon offer
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy, customer-facing environment
- Good organisational skills and ability to multitask
- Practical, reliable, and safety-conscious approach to work
Additional Information
This role involves physical work, including lifting, loading, and assembling furniture and appliances, as well as driving and direct customer interaction. A high standard of professionalism, safety, and attention to detail is expected at all times.
