You will design practical, compliant pipework systems that are not only technically sound but also efficient to manufacture and install. Working closely with commercial and delivery teams, you will play a key role in ensuring designs translate effectively into real-world applications.
What You'll be Doing- Designing pipework systems, layouts, and technical drawings
- Supporting projects from tender through to detailed design (DfM)
- Interpreting P&IDs, site data, and client requirements
- Collaborating with engineers, PMs, and site teams
- Contributing to cost-effective design solutions
- Ensuring designs are compliant and buildable
- Experience in mechanical or pipework design
- Background in industries such as: fire protection, water/wastewater, HVAC, or industrial process
- CAD experience (AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar)
- Understanding of design for manufacture and installation
- Strong practical and problem-solving mindset
- Knowledge of LPCB, BS EN 12845, NFPA, or ACOP L8
- Experience with sprinkler or industrial pipework systems
- Exposure to full project lifecycle
