Job Title: B1 Licensed Engineer<br />Job Type: Permanent<br />Location: Hampshire<br /><br />Due to the nature of the role, full Security Clearance (SC) is required before starting on site.<br /><br />To be eligible, you must:<br />* Hold or be willing and eligible to obtain SC<br />* Be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship<br />* Have lived and worked in the UK continuously for the past 5 years<br />* Be a sole British national (UK EYES ONLY restriction)<br /><br />Who We Are & Whats on Offer<br /><br />Matchtech has partnered with a key player in the aerospace MRO sector and is currently recruiting a B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis.<br /><br />Youll play a crucial role in ensuring the airworthiness of their customers aircraft, performing maintenance tasks and conducting inspections in compliance with regulatory standards and company procedures.<br /><br />Where Youll Make an Impact<br /><br />As a B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineer, youll carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, repairs, and modifications across various aircraft types, collaborating closely with maintenance teams to streamline workflows and reduce aircraft downtime.<br /><br />Your key responsibilities include:<br /><br />Safety & Compliance<br />Strictly follow safety protocols and promote a culture of safety awareness and compliance across the team.<br />Maintenance & Troubleshooting<br />Diagnose and resolve faults in aircraft systems, avionics, and components efficiently.<br />Certification & Collaboration<br />Certify and release aircraft to service as a B1 Licensed Engineer, ensuring all work meets standards with accurate documentation.<br /><br />The Essentials Youll Need?<br /><br />Licensing & Experience: A Valid CAA Part-66 B1 Licence with at least one relevant type rating (B727, B737 CL/NG, B757, A320, BE200, or BE300). Proven experience as a B1 Licensed Engineer, ideally within a Part-145 MRO setting.<br />Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with multiple aircraft types, especially Boeing, Airbus, or Beechcraft. Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, avionics, and powerplants, with the ability to interpret technical manuals and drawings.<br />Skills & Attributes: Exceptional troubleshooting and diagnostic ability, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.
