The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 Β£ per year.
This will be a 9/80 working schedule: 9 hrs Mon-Thurs, 8 hrs Fri, then 9 hrs Mon-Thurs again, and off every other Friday. Start time is 7:00 am (7:00-4:30 on 9-hour days; 7:00-3:30 on 1st Fridays). The Inspection Technician Associate works in the areas of inspection or quality test of products within the surgical instrumentation and quality organization. The Receiving Inspection Technician Associate will perform quality inspections to standard AQLs. Tasks will typically be interpreting blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications and geometric dimensioning and tolerance in order to qualify parts into stock locations.
Responsibilities
- Inspect purchased parts, assemblies, hardware, special processes and materials for conformance to engineering requirements and specifications.
- Examine items for defects in materials, work and damage occurring in transit.
- Compare quantity and part number of items received with purchasing data and other specifications to ensure completeness and accuracy of order.
Minimum requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
- 1 year of relevant experience
Preferred Skills
- Experience in manufacturing inspection, repair, test, or quality with demonstrated hands-on electromechanical testing preferred within a medical device industry.
- Experience using CMM, Optical Comparator, Height gages, V-Blocks, Thread Gages, Micrometers and Calipers.
- Experience performing First Article Inspections.
