To redefine how companies and individuals' flourish.
The opportunity
Behind every brilliant MindGym experience is a team that needs its tech to just work. That's where you come in.
As our IT Helpdesk Engineer, you'll be the go-to person for our team. You'll solve problems quickly, keep our laptops, systems and network running smoothly, and make sure everyone has a seamless IT experience. It's a hands-on role with plenty of variety. One minute you'll be building a new MacBook, the next you'll be untangling a network issue or working with developers to fix an application bug.
You'll join our IT team, reporting into the IT Manager. It's a great opportunity to make a real, visible impact from day one.
What you'll do
- Be the first point of call for 1st and 2nd-line IT support, resolving questions and issues promptly for colleagues across MindGym
- Build, configure and repair Windows and macOS laptops so everyone is set up to do their best work
- Diagnose and fix software, hardware and networking issues, logging everything in our incident tracking system
- Know when to upscale and coordinate with Senior Administrators and subject matter experts to get issues resolved
- Create and manage user accounts, making sure access levels and security protocols are spot on
- Deploy software, create user groups and manage operating system policies across our network
- Install, configure and maintain the hardware, software, network and application components of our IT system
- Keep our data safe by making sure it's properly stored, backed up and retrievable
- Replace and upgrade outdated or faulty hardware
- Work with developers and third-party support teams to get to the bottom of application issues
- Build and update our knowledge base so fixes are more efficient in the future
What you'll bring
- Around a year's experience in IT support, whether on a service desk, at an Managed Service Provider or somewhere similar
- Hands-on experience setting up and troubleshooting Windows and macOS laptops
- A basic understanding of networking and how to fix common issues
- A problem-solving mindset and a calm head when things get busy
- The ability to explain tech clearly and kindly to non-technical colleagues
Nice to have (but not essential):
- Experience with helpdesk or remote support tools
- A certification such as CompTIA A+ or Network+
