Location: London, UK (Hybrid)

Market Focus: UK & Europe - Corporate & Transaction Banking

The Business Development Manager will drive sales for our core Mindgate Payment Suite, including:

  • Digital Overlay Services — UPI-like capabilities tailored for UK and European markets
  • Corporate Transaction Banking Suite — Liquidity management and virtual account management
  • Cash Management Systems (CMS) — Scalable solutions for corporate collections and payments
  • Merchant & Government Payment Gateways — End-to-end processing for high-volume entities

Mandatory Selection Criteria:

  • Transaction Banking Mastery: Minimum 6 years of direct sales or business development experience in Corporate Transaction Banking or Cash Management products. Applications without this will not progress.
  • Demonstrable technical familiarity with UK/European payment rails (Faster Payments, SEPA Inst, CHAPS, SWIFT) and comfort discussing API integrations and microservices architecture.
  • Cash Management Expertise: Proven track record in CMS sales or CMS implementation engagements — please cite specific client names and deal values where possible.
  • GTM & Marketing Alignment: Experience in executing Go-to-Market strategies and collaborating with marketing to generate and qualify sales-ready leads.
  • Regulatory Awareness: Working knowledge of UK/EU payment regulations including PSD3, Open Banking, FCA requirements, and cross-border payment compliance.
  • UK / Europe Market Experience: Direct experience operating in the UK or European banking market. Existing network with Tier-1/Tier-2 financial institutions is strongly preferred.
  • Work Authorizations: Valid UK work permit or visa authorizing employment. Candidates must confirm this at point of application. Sponsorship is not available for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the full sales lifecycle for Mindgate's Transaction Banking product suite across the UK and Europe — from prospecting and RFI/RFP management to contract negotiation and close.
  • Develop and execute a robust Go-to-Market strategy targeting Tier-1 and Tier-2 banks and financial institutions for payment infrastructure modernization.
  • Lead high-level technical and commercial negotiations with C-suite and Head of Payments stakeholders, acting as a subject-matter expert in Transaction Banking.
  • Partner with internal Product and Pre-Sales teams to tailor Mindgate's microservices-based platforms for local market and regulatory requirements.
  • Leverage existing relationships with banks, fintechs, and payment aggregators to build a self-sustaining referral and partnership network.
  • Represent Mindgate at major industry events (e.g., Money20/20, Sibos) to build brand presence and a robust sales pipeline.
  • Collaborate with marketing to position Mindgate as the premier Technology Service Provider (TSP) in the UK and European payments space.

Preferred (Non-Mandatory) Skills:

  • Experience with cross-border payment corridors and SWIFT gpi.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native infrastructure, real-time data streaming, and ISO 20022 migration.
  • Pre-sales experience including solution demos and proof-of-concept engagements.
  • Established network within the UK Faster Payments ecosystem or Pay.UK.
