MindFood are looking for a new Treasurer with finance experience, ideally a fully qualified chartered accountant (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA) who has a minimum of 3 years of relevant prior experience to join our team.
As a trustee with finance skills, you play a crucial role in helping our board understand our budget plans with greater confidence. Your expertise can enhance our sustainability and ensure compliance, supporting our efforts to shape long-term financial health and prepare for any financial contingencies that may arise.
What are we looking for?
- Fully qualified chartered accountant with a minimum of 3 years of prior experience (e.g. ACCA, ACA, CIMA)
- Preferably, previous experience in charity finance as a Treasurer or similar
- Available to staff for strategic and operational advice/ad hoc finance-related enquiries
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
What will you be doing?
As a trustee you’ll have an essential role in contributing towards the future direction of MindFood and making a real difference to the lives of adults suffering with mental health issues. We’re ideally looking for trustees with experience working in charity finance, but it’s not essential. Our board has a close relationship with our senior management team, and prides itself on being very friendly, supportive and relaxed.
