Mindflow is a charity tackling the mental health crisis within the construction industry. Every working day two construction workers sadly take their own lives and we exist to normalise conversations around mental health and break down the stigma using football to engage and unite. Our mission is to see a construction industry which values workers’ mental health as highly as physical safety across the sector.
We’re a small proactive team building a better future for the construction industry, and we’re looking for an experienced person to join us, to develop and implement engagement strategies to reach target audiences and build strong relationships with businesses and industry bodies within construction to maximise impact.
Our USP is our industry Charter, a framework that has been designed and developed by industry leaders within construction and the mental health space to improve standards across the industry. This will form the core of the role from engagement to adoption.
Core Responsibilities- This role oversees the delivery and continuous business development of the Mental Health Charter. You will be responsible for creating a robust engagement plan to take the Charter to market and build close relationships with businesses within the industry to educate around the Charter and to secure adoption.
- You will act as a senior liaison with internal and external stakeholders, including boards, construction partners and government or parliamentary bodies. You will ensure engagement strategies are aligned with organisational priorities and influence decision-making processes.
- You will have strong networking and relationship management skills, forging robust partnerships and delivering top level account management.
- Leading the planning and execution of engagement events, campaigns, and public-facing initiatives is a key responsibility. This includes exploring digital engagement opportunities, launching new initiatives, and ensuring events align with strategic goals particularly around the Charter.
- You will line manage the Fundraising & Events Lead supporting on the fundraising strategy and ensuring they have the tools to deliver. You will help guide and develop the Fundraising & Events Lead working closely together on events and any departmental cross-over.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills, with the ability to inspire and manage teams effectively.
- Strategic thinking and creativity in developing engagement plans and campaigns.
- Strong influencing and communication skills.
- Experience in fundraising, stakeholder engagement or business development.
- Ability to analyse data, measure impact, and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring all engagement activities are accessible and representative.
- Understanding of UK charity regulations and reporting requirements.
- Experience in working within the construction industry or membership business.
- Experience using CRM systems (ideally HubSpot).
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a small team.
