- Own the full lifecycle from initial design and requirement capture to deployment, configuration, and ongoing 3rd level support.
- Create and manage non-production environments to validate changes, patches, and new features before estate-wide rollout.
- Standardise and automate till provisioning, configuration management, and software deployments across the estate using VBS and PowerShell.
- Patch and maintain the OS and application layers, ensuring systems are hardened and aligned with security and architectural principles.
- Drive proactive monitoring and observability, using data to identify and fix issues before they impact the customer checkout experience.
- Lead Disaster Recovery (DR) validation, maintaining and periodically testing recovery procedures to ensure business continuity across all stores.
Skills Essentials
- Strong troubleshooting and retail support experience.
- Proven experience designing and supporting scalable, resilient EPOS and SCO platforms.
- Strong administration skills across Windows 10, Windows 11, and Linux (Ubuntu/Debian or similar).
