Mindera is currently looking for Platform Engineers who are experienced in either Windows or Linux to join us on a contract basis. You will be responsible for hands-on delivery of the security hardening, stabilisation and lifecycle upgrades across the CCTV estate of our client. The role focuses on infrastructure, operating systems and security controls rather than application or user interface development. This role comes with 3 days per week on client site in either Paddington or Heathrow area.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform operating system upgrades and security patching on CCTV servers and supporting infrastructure
- Apply firmware updates and vendor recommended security fixes
- Remove shared credentials and implement secure identity and access controls
- Harden servers and services in line with enterprise security standards
- Support discovery and documentation of existing CCTV configurations and dependencies
- Implement and improve monitoring, logging and alerting integrated with security operations
- Support investigation and remediation of security and operational incidents
- Produce clear technical documentation and operational runbooks
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong experience in infrastructure or platform engineering roles
- Hands-on experience with Windows and/or Linux operating systems
- Proven background in security hardening, patch management and access control
- Experience working with cloud hosted and hybrid infrastructure
- Comfortable working with legacy and partially undocumented systems
- Experience operating across large distributed estates preferred
- CCTV or physical security platform experience desirable but not required
