The Digital Product Lead owns the strategic roadmap and ongoing development of Mind's website and comprehensive suite of digital engagement platforms, ensuring that they consistently deliver an excellent user experience, maintain the highest standards of accessibility, and achieve measurable impact across all our digital touchpoints. This pivotal role, within the platforms pillar of our organisational structure, also leads the strategic development and maturation of Product Management practice across the entire organisation; successfully embedding user-centred design principles, agile delivery methodologies, and evidence-based prioritisation approaches throughout all digital and data delivery initiatives.

Working collaboratively and effectively across multiple teams and departments throughout the organisation, the postholder ensures that Mind's website and all associated digital platforms remain secure, consistently reliable, and carefully aligned with our overarching organisational strategy, whilst simultaneously building and strengthening internal capability in product thinking, strategic planning, and effective delivery practices. This influential role directly supports Mind's ambitious aim to modernise our ways of working, create a digitally confident and empowered workforce, and foster an insight-driven culture that enables data-informed decision-making at every level of the organisation.

  • Relationships: Build strong working relationships across DDaT, Fundraising, and Communications to align digital priorities and enable effective product delivery.
  • Digital and Data Leadership: Integrate user-centred design, analytics, and testing into all aspects of product development and improvement.
  • Budget and Delivery Oversight: Manage product budgets and supplier contracts, ensuring effective prioritisation and value for money.
  • Ambassadorial Leadership: Lead the adoption of Product Management practice across Mind, providing coaching and guidance to colleagues involved in digital delivery.
  • Risk and Governance: Ensure all product development aligns with accessibility, data protection, and information security standards.
  • Other Duties: Support and deputise for the DDaT Platforms Manager as required and undertake other duties commensurate with the role.

  • Work with suppliers, developers, and designers to deliver enhancements, integrations, and releases efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Embed user-centred design and agile delivery principles within product development processes.
  • Coordinate with the Digital Insights Optimisation Lead to ensure decisions are data-informed and support testing, analytics, and continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate user research, feedback, and testing activities to shape product decisions and improve user journeys.
  • Build and share best practice in Product Management across teams, providing guidance, tools, and training to embed consistent ways of working.
  • Contribute to digital governance, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and organisational policies.
