We are recruiting a Counselling Administrator to join the Children and Young People’s (CYP) Community Counselling service. Job title: CYP Counselling Administrator Reference Number: 256 Salary scale: £23,810.00 per annum Reports to: Service Manager (Children and Young People Services) Contract: Permanent Based: One of our 7 countywide wellbeing centres, to be agreed. Work Pattern: 37.5 hours per week (Monday-Friday – 10am-6pm) About the Project The Children and Young People’s (CYP) Community Counselling service is a new Herts Mind Network service, whose aim is to provide accessible, timely and high quality countywide counselling to local children and young people. Our CYP Community Counselling Service will deliver a blend of face-to-face, online, 1:1 and group counselling to enable young people to obtain impactful therapeutic support for the mental health difficulties they are facing, in a way that suits them. The objectives of the CYP Community Counselling Service are: * To support the emotional wellbeing of children and young people experiencing mental health issues in Hertfordshire. * To provide high quality counselling, both face-to-face and online that is tailored to the child or young person and incorporates all facets of their life. * To promote early intervention and prevention through an accessible and flexible counselling service that champions the strengths and self-resilience of children and young people. * To work actively, inclusively and collaboratively with local children, young people and their families. * To be a key partner of the Hertfordshire CYP MHS system, offering and increasing access to community-based help regarding mental health and emotional wellbeing. About the Role This CYP Counselling Administrator post is integral to the efficient, smooth and successful running of the service. The postholder will provide wide-ranging administrative support to the service, being responsible for providing responsive, empathic communication to all enquiries and leading on the efficient scheduling of all counselling assessments. The postholder will be an active member of the team, liaising across clinical staff, clients and external stakeholders, using their initiative. They will also contribute to the development of the service, being accurate and thorough in their approach and responsible for diligent data input and retrieval to ensure the robust monitoring of the service’s impact. We offer: * Annual leave entitlement of 25 days per year pro rata, rising in increments to a max. of 29 days pro rata after 5 years employment (plus 8 days Bank Holidays) * An additional day of leave each year for your birthday following completion of probation period. * Ongoing training relevant to your role. * An Employee Assistance Programme. * Health cover (after 6 months employment) – compensation payment for Optical, Dental, Chiropody and Therapy Treatments.
