A leading alternative payments infrastructure platform is seeking a stand-out Sales Director – Enterprise to join their growing team in London (hybrid–3 days p/w in office). We’re looking for a seasoned leader who can inspire, grow and develop a team of Enterprise Sales Managers covering the EMEA market. This role offers a scope for a strong commercial career path trajectory.

In this pivotal role, you will shape sales strategy, empower a team of high-performing Sales Managers, and drive revenue across Payment Service Provider and Enterprise Merchant segments throughout Europe. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the business’ global growth story — building a culture of urgency, accountability, and continuous improvement across one of our most strategically important markets.

Responsibilities

  • Team leadership: lead and develop a high-performing team of European Sales Managers, providing ongoing coaching, mentorship, and performance management to continually raise the bar.
  • Revenue ownership: drive and exceed ambitious revenue targets across all markets — owning pipeline generation, conversion rates, and full accountability for team outcomes.
  • Champion best-in-class sales programmes covering the full sales cycle, negotiation techniques, objection handling, and deep expertise in local payment solutions.
  • Build a positive, inclusive, and collaborative team culture where diverse perspectives are celebrated and high performance is the norm across cultures and time zones.
  • Process Optimisation: continuously evaluate and improve global sales processes, leveraging CRM data and performance metrics to drive productivity, accuracy, and strategic insight.
  • Work closely with Sales Engineering, Client Success, Marketing, and Product teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and alignment with broader business objectives.
  • Proactively identify and manage risk within global sales operations, championing a culture of continuous improvement across the organisation.
  • Stay ahead of fintech and local payments trends across Europe, APAC, and the Americas, leveraging external networks to inform team strategy and positioning.

Qualifications

  • Proven Sales Leadership: demonstrated success building, leading, and scaling enterprise sales teams in a global context — ideally within fintech, payments, or SaaS.
  • A Results-Driven instinct: a consistent record of achieving and exceeding ambitious targets as both an individual contributor and a people leader.
  • Deep knowledge of the payments ecosystem across Europe, including alternative and local payment methods and their strategic relevance to PSPs and enterprise merchants.
  • A passion for coaching and mentoring.
  • A genuine passion for developing talent — providing clear, actionable feedback and empowering team members to reach their full potential.
  • Ability to align team efforts with long-term company objectives, leveraging data and metrics to drive strategy across multiple regions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage C-level executives and diverse internal stakeholders across cultures.
  • A track record of driving cross-functional initiatives and building strong relationships with internal and external partners across time zones.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity, adapting priorities in response to evolving business needs, and resolving team challenges decisively.
