At Mind Body Goals, we integrate thoughtful design and science-backed wellness techniques to create innovative products that empower individuals to live healthier, happier lives. Our flagship product, Luma³, helps people engage in screen-free mental fitness. We are a lean, purpose-driven startup. Following our win of the Mayor’s Big Ideas Challenge, we have realigned our business (75-80%) toward healthcare and the NHS. You will be joining at a pivotal moment as we begin to scale our impact across clinical pathways.
We are looking for a highly autonomous Operations and Production Technician to join our team on a part-time basis. You will be the "right-hand" of the founder, taking ownership of the physical life cycle of our products - from assembly and testing to fulfillment and clinic-specific configuration. As a micro-business, we need someone with the resilience to work independently. The founder will be working remotely, outside the UK, for part of the year, so your ability to manage your own workflow and troubleshoot issues on-site is essential.
Key Responsibilities- Production & Assembly: Hands-on assembly of Luma³ units, including handling electronic components and 3D-printed parts.
- Technical Setup: Uploading firmware to circuit boards and performing quality control assessments.
- Clinic Configuration: Configuring and batching orders specifically for NHS clinic requirements (typically in batches of 10-20).
- Logistics & Data: Managing fulfillment, dispatch, and meticulous logging of production and serial numbers.
- Process Improvement: Identifying ways to shave minutes off build times and improving assembly "jigging" or workflows.
- Maintenance: Diagnosis and repair of faulty units and basic preventive maintenance of office production equipment (e.g., 3D printers).
- Attention to Detail: Absolute accuracy is required for quality control and serial number logging.
- Technical Aptitude: Experience or a strong interest in electronics, product design, or manufacturing.
- Autonomy: A proven ability to work independently, and report on activities, without daily supervision.
- Problem Solver: A critical thinker who can diagnose a technical fault or suggest a better way to organize a workspace.
- Communication: Comfortable with regular digital check-ins and providing updates while the founder is on a different time zone.
