The HR Consultant / HR Implementation Specialist plays a key role in supporting the delivery and implementation of the MiM People platform across SME client organisations. The role focuses on ensuring that client organisations have compliant, effective and practical HR policies, procedures and leadership practices in place, aligned with current UK employment legislation and best practice. The postholder will work closely with SME clients to audit existing HR frameworks, support organisational policy updates, assist with HR data migration and platform implementation, and provide guidance to leaders on people management matters. The role also includes delivering training and support to leaders to strengthen capability and promote confident, consistent management practices. This position requires the ability to balance legal compliance, organisational risk, and operational business needs, providing practical and proportionate HR advice.
Key Responsibilities
- HR Compliance and Policy Development
- Review, update and develop organisational HR policies to ensure compliance with UK employment legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct HR and organisational policy audits for SME client organisations.
- Identify areas of risk or non-compliance and provide clear recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure policies and procedures are practical, accessible and aligned with organisational needs.
- HR Process and Organisational Framework Development
- Support organisations in developing structured HR processes and frameworks.
- Assist clients in establishing consistent approaches to key HR processes including: performance management, absence management, disciplinary and grievance procedures, onboarding and induction, learning and development.
- Support organisations in embedding sustainable HR practices that promote fairness, consistency and compliance.
- MiM People Platform Implementation
- Support the implementation of the MiM People platform within client organisations.
- Assist with the transfer and organisation of HR data into the platform.
- Configure organisational HR structures, policies and workflows within the system.
- Ensure the platform accurately reflects organisational processes and HR documentation.
- HR Advisory and Leadership Support
- Provide practical HR guidance and support to organisational leaders and managers.
- Support leaders in navigating people management issues including employee relations matters.
- Help leaders understand the implications of HR decisions from both a legal and business perspective.
- Promote fair and consistent application of policies and procedures.
- Training and Leadership Development
- Design and deliver training to support leaders in building confidence and capability in people management.
- Provide training on the use of the MiM People platform and associated HR processes.
- Support the development of competent leadership teams through practical skills-based learning.
- Client Project Delivery
- Work across multiple SME clients simultaneously, managing competing priorities and project requirements.

- Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
