About us

We're on a mission to revolutionise how finance functions operate - empowering accountants, bookkeepers and outsourced finance teams to deliver exceptional services using AI, translating to a step change in productivity and advisory delivery. We believe that with the right data, insights and automation, routine tasks across their practice become seamless, and the value you deliver becomes transformational.

If you've spent time in public practice, have deep hands-on experience working in an accounting firm servicing UK clients, and are intrigued by how AI can reshape workflows (gathering documents from clients, extracting data from documents, posting adjustments, conducting continuous sense checking, etc.), then you might just be our next game-changer.

What you'll do

  • Run onboarding & pilot projects end-to-end. Work side-by-side with accounting firms to onboard their clients onto Mimo and get them live quickly.
  • Drive the business case home. Help firms quantify the time they're saving, track adoption across their client base, and build the evidence that turns a trial into a long-term partnership.
  • Coach on the tech and the change. This is a deep AI product. You'll help teams understand what Mimo does under the hood, build confidence in AI-assisted workflows, and tackle the natural resistance that comes with changing how people have worked for years.
  • Collaborate across Commercial. Work closely with Sales to shape how we explain our product and deliver more value to clients.
  • Be the voice of the customer internally. Feed back to Product and Engineering to shape our roadmap for what should be built next. You'll know our partner firms best and have a direct line to the people building the product.

What you'll bring

  • You've probably done the work to close the books yourself. You know what it feels like to chase clients for bank statements, reconcile accounts, and wonder why so much of the process is still manual. Now you want to fix it.
  • 2-4 years in practice or the industry. Big 4, Top 20, or another firm with a solid outsourced services function or you have been in the industry. You've lived the workflows we're automating.
  • Deep understanding of accounting standards and why they matter (e.g. UK GAAP, FRS 102, FRS 105).
  • Commercially minded. You're not just technical - you genuinely enjoy talking to people, understanding their problems, and helping them see a better way. You're comfortable in client-facing conversations, and you don't shy away from a bit of persuasion.
  • Curious about technology. You don't need to be a developer, but you're the person in your team who was already experimenting with AI tools and asking, 'Why do we still do it this way?'
  • Organised and self-directed. You'll be managing multiple trials at once across different firms. You need to keep things moving without someone looking over your shoulder.
  • A clear communicator. You can explain complex product functionality to a sceptical senior accountant and make it land.

We need someone who genuinely understands accounting workflows and wants to be in a customer-facing, commercial role. That combination is rare - and it's exactly why this role matters so much.

Bonus:

  • Familiarity with accounting platforms as well as related automation and workflow tools.
  • Studied accounting.
  • Experience working with product teams, accounting software vendors or projects to drive efficiency.

Why join us

  • A generational opportunity to shape the future of public practice accounting.
  • Use your practice experience in a completely new way, breaking into tech.
  • Work closely with sales and product & engineering teams, your input will directly influence what we build and how we sell it.
