Mimica's mission is to empower enterprises, teams, and individuals to reclaim their most precious resource — time and work more efficiently, with greater purpose and impact. Our AI-powered task mining observes employee actions across the desktop and categorises them into detailed process maps. Mimica’s process intelligence highlights inefficiencies, prioritises improvements based on ROI, recommends the optimal technology for automation (RPA, intelligent document processing, GenAI), and provides a blueprint for building new automations and transforming work.
You will be the first Head of Product at Mimica, leading the product function through its next major growth phase. This role is about leading a product organisation as it scales with ambition and intention. You will own the macro strategy, our market positioning and product roadmap, raise the bar on product management, and introduce the structures, principles, and ways of working that help teams make better decisions and move faster with confidence.
You’ll work closely with the CEO, CTO, Product Managers, Designers, and leaders across Engineering, Machine Learning, and Go-to-Market functions to set and align on strategy, prioritise effectively, and ensure we continue building products that deliver clear customer and business value. We believe the most important product decisions happen before a line of code is written. We're building the discovery muscle: understanding why customers work the way they do, what they're actually trying to accomplish, and where our technology can create outcomes they couldn't get elsewhere. Your impact as Head of Product will be to drive that shift and embed that understanding at the company level.
It’s a rare opportunity to take on a foundational product leadership role at a well-funded AI scale-up with deep technical expertise, proprietary AI capabilities, and meaningful growth opportunities.
Part of your day-to-day:
- Define, own, and champion the global product strategy and macro-level roadmap, including identifying gaps, shaping priorities, and long-term vision in partnership with the C-suite.
- Document and communicate the product vision and strategy to improve clarity and alignment, and turn informal decisions into clear direction.
- Mentor and develop Product Managers and Designers, and define career ladders and growth paths to assure the progression and upskilling of our team.
- Support and unblock your team when needed to maintain a healthy, sustainable, and high-performing team.
- Improve the operating model of the product function: prioritise and plan rituals; bring customer, market, and competitive insights earlier in the decision-making process and inform investment decisions.
- Align stakeholders and build consensus when priorities or opinions conflict.
- Handle executive and customer escalations and protect team focus when leadership or Sales pressure disrupts the roadmap.
- Ensure we retain a culture of strong ownership, transparency, and initiative while assuring business goals are met.
- Forecast future team capacity needs, and partner with the People team to hire top-tier talent to build an effective and well-balanced Product organisation.
Who are we looking for:
- A product leader who has operated as Head of Product, Director of Product, or VP of Product in a comparable Scale-up environment.
- Experience building and managing one of the following technical Enterprise products or categories: data-heavy, process optimisation, AI, or automation products.
- A strong people leader with a track record of coaching and mentoring both Product Managers and Product Designers.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, particularly driving alignment between senior leaders in Engineering and Commercial functions.
- Experience in building products powered by in-house developed ML/AI technology.
- Excellent judgment on prioritisation and roadmap decisions, especially when hard trade-offs are required.
- Strong product and commercial instinct, and a clear commitment to customer value.
- Confidence handling disagreement, aligning diverse stakeholders, and navigating ambiguity with maturity.
- Experience working successfully in an international and multicultural team.
- Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate technical ideas clearly to different audiences.
Nice to have:
- A solid technical foundation or direct hands-on experience building or maintaining technical systems (eg, as a Software Engineer).
- Experience working in organisations where the product and designers were embedded into cross-functional Engineering teams.
- Experience working and leading fully remote distributed teams.
Location: This is a fully remote position. We welcome candidates based across North America and Western Europe, with a preference for time zones that allow strong overlap with our teams in both regions.
What we offer:
- Generous compensation + stock options - aligned with our internal framework, market data, and individual skills.
- Distributed work: Work from anywhere - fully remote, in our hubs, or a mix.
- Company-issued laptop, remote setup stipend, and co-working budget.
- Flexible schedules and location.
- Ample paid time off, in addition to local public holidays.
- Enhanced parental leave.
- Health & retirement benefits.
- Annual learning & development budget.
- Annual workaways and regular virtual & in-person socials.
- Opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking projects that shape the future of work.
