The Role
As a Bartender, you'll be responsible for delivering exceptional drinks and service while creating a welcoming and engaging atmosphere at the bar. Working closely with the wider front of house team, you'll ensure every cocktail, drink, and guest interaction reflects the high standards of Mimi Mei Fair.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional and personable service to every guest
- Prepare and serve cocktails, wines, spirits and other beverages to company standards
- Interact confidently with guests, making recommendations and creating memorable experiences
- Ensure drinks are prepared consistently and to specification
- Support the team during busy service periods to maintain a seamless guest experience
Product Knowledge
- Develop excellent knowledge of our cocktail menu, spirits, wines and beverages
- Confidently recommend drinks to complement guests' dining experience
- Learn and share the story, history and concept of the restaurant with guests
- Contribute ideas for new cocktails and seasonal drinks alongside the Management team
Organisation & Cleanliness
- Keep the bar, storage areas and equipment clean, organised and well maintained throughout the shift
- Complete opening and closing procedures to company standards
- Ensure stock is stored correctly and all daily and weekly checklists are completed
- Maintain high standards of personal presentation and hygiene at all times
Health, Safety & Licensing
- Follow all licensing laws, including Challenge 25 and responsible alcohol service
- Ensure all company policies and health & safety procedures are adhered to
- Report and resolve hazards promptly to maintain a safe environment for guests and colleagues
- Assist with stock control procedures and minimise waste
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Bartender, ideally within a premium or high-end restaurant
- Excellent cocktail-making skills and a passion for beverages
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A confident, positive and guest-focused attitude
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining exceptional standards
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
