About The Job

Turn Cybersecurity’s Next Wave of Sales Talent Into Pipeline Powerhouses — Become Mimecast’s EMEA BDR Enablement Manager.

Overview

Cybercrime never sleeps, and neither does our BDR team’s hunger to grow. As BDR Enablement Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind how our Business Development Representatives ramp, learn, and win — turning first calls into lasting pipeline. It’s a role built for someone who thrives on coaching, loves building programs from scratch, and wants to see their fingerprints on every deal our BDRs create.

Personalized "Why Join" Quote from the HM

"Our BDR Enablement function is arguably the most critical part of our department – the onboarding and ‘ever-boarding’ of our team is crucial in what is a constantly changing sector & business development function" — James Somerville, EMEA Director, BDR

What You’ll Do

  • Own and deliver onboarding for new BDRs — role plays, certifications, and product demos — and keep training on sales methodologies, cold calling, and objection handling current.
  • Provide regular call coaching, feedback, and skills assessments, and run workshops on advanced sales skills and product positioning.
  • Create and maintain enablement content — playbooks, scripts, objection guides, demo frameworks — and audit programs against feedback and performance data.
  • Partner with BDR managers, Product Marketing, and Sales Ops to align enablement with GTM goals, translating product updates and campaigns into BDR-ready resources.
  • Track enablement impact — ramp time, productivity, program adoption — and use data to identify skill gaps and design targeted interventions.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in BDR/SDR enablement, sales management, or as a senior BDR/SDR — ideally within SaaS or cybersecurity.
  • Experience in Sales/BDR enablement is advantageous, but not essential – this could be an opportunity for someone looking to take the leap from tenured BDR to a role in Enablement.
  • Proven experience designing and delivering onboarding/training programs.
  • Strong understanding of BDR workflows, sales tools (Salesforce, Outreach, Gong, etc.), and sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDPICC, Challenger).
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Data-driven mindset; experience using analytics to measure and improve enablement effectiveness.
  • Technical acumen in cybersecurity or SaaS.
  • Experience with enablement platforms (Highspot, Seismic, etc.).
  • Familiarity with pipeline metrics and sales process optimization.

What We Bring

Mimecast is built on curiosity, resilience, and a shared belief that cybersecurity should feel less like a fire drill and more like a craft. You’ll join a Global Sales Enablement Team that treats BDR success as a first-class priority — not an afterthought — with real investment in the tools, content, and coaching infrastructure that make enablement work.

Career Growth Opportunities

This role sits at the intersection of sales, enablement, and GTM strategy — a launchpad toward Senior Enablement Manager, Director of Sales Enablement, or a move into BDR/Sales leadership. You’ll build visible, measurable impact on pipeline generation, giving you a strong platform to grow within Mimecast’s broader Sales and Revenue organization.

Manager's Working Style & Team’s Purpose

You’ll report to the EMEA Director - BDR, with a dotted line into the Global Sales Enablement Team — giving you both a tight partnership with BDR leadership and a seat at the table with enablement peers across the business. Expect a collaborative, feedback-driven working style that trusts you to own your programs end-to-end while staying closely aligned on what BDRs need to hit their numbers. Day to day, you’ll be equal parts coach, content creator, and data analyst — shaping how every new BDR experiences their first 90 days, and how every tenured rep keeps sharpening their edge.

Join our Business Development team to accelerate your career journey. You will be immersed in a dynamic environment that recognizes and celebrates your achievements.

Mimecast offers formal and on-the-job learning opportunities, maintains a comprehensive benefits package that helps our employees and their family members to sustain a healthy lifestyle, and importantly – working in cross functional teams to build your knowledge!

Our Hybrid Model

We provide you with the flexibility to live balanced, healthy lives through our hybrid working model that champions both collaborative teamwork and individual flexibility. Employees are expected to come to the office at least two days per week, because working together in person:

  • Fosters a culture of collaboration, communication, performance and learning.
  • Drives innovation and creativity within and between teams.
  • Introduces employees to priorities outside of their immediate realm.
  • Ensures important interpersonal relationships and connections with one another and our community!

The base salary range for this position is £60,000–£90,000 plus benefits. This range represents the minimum and maximum new hire compensation for this role. The position may also be eligible for incentive plans and additional benefits, in accordance with company policy and local regulations. Final offers will reflect these considerations and may vary accordingly.
